Exploring Nottingham: The Pudding Pantry

It's safe to say that when one of my flat mates informed me that we had been at uni for a month last Sunday, I was slightly in denial. Whilst the past few weeks have been pretty manic, to say the least, along with flying by, I thought I would take some time out to write a short blog post on possibly one of my new favorite cafés...

After many times of strolling past The Pudding Pantry and going gooey eyed from passing the café window, four flat mates and I decided to try it for ourselves, and we were so glad we did.

There's no doubt that the pudding pantry is a sweet-toothed person dream and if you want to skip starters and mains and fast forward straight to dessert, then this is the place to indulge without feeling guilty, which frankly, is right up my street.

Unfortunately for us, we had woken up so late that we had missed the breakfast and afternoon tea, but nevertheless, this still enabled me to pretty much eat my body weight in puddings, but I have no regrets.

After being indecisive for a good five minutes, I decided to go with the salted caramel brownie freak shake and some American style pancakes. Lately, I have seen a lot of 'freak shakes' all over social media which to me, looked like heaven in a mason jar and after spying these on the menu, I knew straight away that I was not going home having not tried one, and I was not disappointed. They were definitely both aesthetically pleasing and stomach pleasing. The fluffy pancakes served with ice cream and blueberry compote were also delicious! I'm not sure I should have admitted to ordering and eating both of these, but the blueberry counts as one of my five a day, right?

I also loved the café's interior as it was so cute and homely, from the tables to the quirky menu boards framed in fairly lights. Not to mention the display of more tempting cakes which alternate and change every day, so there is more excuse for me re-visiting.
